Program: “Olmstead’s Green Movement”
The subject for the day is “Olmstead’s Green Movement,” and we will be treated to a presentation by Andy Mitton, followed by lunch and a tour. We will visit the project funded in part by a $30,000 Founders Fund grant from Garden Club of America. Tacoma Garden Club supported that grant request. The project will restore the streambed that runs through the Rhododendron Glen in the Washington Arboretum. This area was designed by the Olmstead brothers.
Price: $30.00, due at registration beginning March 16, see below. Please also choose one of the “Transportation” questions to indicate if you are willing to drive or need a ride. We will need to leave Tacoma by 9:00.
