Cost is $73, including processing fee (but does not include parking fee).

The Tacoma Garden Club is invited to join the Seattle Garden Club at our annual Joint Luncheon on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the Burke Museum of Natural History. (Contact Karen McGrath, if you are interested in carpooling.)

Our speaker is Joe Gaydos, whose talk is entitled “Saving our local Ocean with Science, Policy, and Humor.” Joe works at Sea Doc Society on Orcas Island. Last year, Joe won the GCA Hull Award, recognizing the outstanding achievements of individuals furthering the early environmental education of children.

Please note the lunch menu below. If you require a gf/vegan option, please email Carla Pelster. (Lunch tickets automatically purchase the non-vegan option.) After lunch there is an optional tour of the Burke gardens. Members can visit the museum free of charge.

LUNCH BUFFET

Smoked Chicken Sandwich, Provolone, Arugula, Roasted Red Pepper,
Balsamic Aioli, Ciabatta (contains eggs)

Salad – Broccoli, Quinoa, Crisp Apple, Cranberries, Pecans, Cheddar, Dijon-Honey Vinaigrette (veg, contains nuts)

Seasonal Vegan Entrée Available Upon Request
Fava Bean & Roasted Carrot Lentil Fritter, Italian Salsa Verde, Spring Onion (gf, vegan)

Cookies for dessert

Ticket is non-refundable. Attendees must register and pay in advance to attend the joint meeting with the SGC (no checks accepted and no “day-of” registration). If you register and cannot attend, it is your responsibility to find a replacement and to transact payment with that attendee). Processing fee is included.
