VISITING GARDENS TO ALBERS MARCOVINA VISTA GARDENS

Vista Gardens is a beautiful 4.2 acre southwest facing slope in Bremerton with a saltwater view of the Port Washington. The gardens are comprised of fifteen different rooms including: a pristine native woodland, a garden designed to house a special collection of rhododendrons and companion plants, a majestic California Redwood surrounded by drought-tolerant and deer-resistant perennials and shrubs, a Stroll Gallery that features plants from all over the world, and Sam’s Conifer Reserve featuring many unique dwarf conifers. Examples of special collections include over 400 cultivars of conifers, over 100 cultivars of heaths and heathers, and over 70 different maples.

Come join the Tacoma Garden Club for an exclusive tour with the executive director Baqi Kopelman. Please be advised that some of the gardens are on a slope and traction walking shoes or boots are preferred and possibly a walking stick if desired. After, we will stop at a restaurant for anyone who would like to enjoy lunch with your fellow club members.
