TGC COMMUNITY SMALL GRANTS PROGRAM — APPLICANT INFORMATION
Each year the Tacoma Garden Club selects one or more community organizations to receive small grants.
Mission:
  • To stimulate a love of gardening
  • To protect the quality of the environment
  • To encourage civic beautification
  • To support charitable, scientific and educational activities in each of the above categories
Criteria:
  • Grant requests should relate to the above mission statement
  • Grant requests need to be for a specific project (see sidebar for recipients' list)
  • Monies requested must be used by August 31 following their receipt
  • Maximun grant amount is $500
Schedule:
September 1 Applications accepted
December 1 Application deadline (must be received by 5 pm)
Dec. 10-Jan. 15 On-site visits to applicants by committee members
January Committee reviews all applications
March 1 Notification letters and checks sent to grantees
